Mountain adventure for everybody: Get your rucksack, hiking boots and supplies ready to explore the mountain of Hochkar. Hochkar offers a huge spider web of trails, from easy to difficult.
Hochkar 360 Grad Skytour provides a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and cosy places to rest and relax – a very unique hiking experience.
This tour is suitable for the whole family and starts at the parking of Hochkar bottom station. Take trail no. 6 for a leisurely walk towards Draxlerloch.
Tip: the mornings are especially beautiful! The mountain awakes with the first sun rays and chirping birds! This easy trail takes you to Scheinecksattel (1,529 m).When you reach the summit at 1,808m do not forget to sign the summit book!
All roads lead to Rome or to Hochkar Vorgipfel. Start at the parking, cross the ski run and head towards Latschen Alm; from here take the supply route to JoSchi Berghaus at 1,770m.
Cars are not allowed! This is the easiest way to reach Vorgipfel or Hochkar 360° Skytour.
By the way: this trail is suitable for pushchairs! (preferably all-terrain pushchair)
The hike starts at Hochkar parking and leads through mountain pine fields and green meadows to Hochkar Vorgipfel past the “small summit cross”.
It’s an easy but athletic walk.
Start at Hochkar mountain station and take the trail to the right through Gr. Kar and mountain pine fields. It takes about twenty minutes to the summit! Do not forget to sign the summit book!

It is only a few metres to Hochkar 360 Grad Skytour from Hochkar Vorgipfel. Enjoy the breathtaking view!
Take a left at Hochkar mountain station – the 900m loop trail starts after 300m. In good weather you can see the Danube and Styria!
This is a very romantic hiking tour! As soon as you reach the forest road you walk through the forest past the mountain pines and to a crystal-clear mountain lake. Now is the time to leave the everyday hassle behind and enjoy a picnic with loved ones!

This demanding tour leads up Hochkar summit, Ringkogel, Tremelsattel, Bstattkopf, Dürrenstein summit and finally Ötscher summit. You hike at an elevation between 1,400 and 1,893 m.
